The PLS Event

A meeting with the 'Luigi Lanfranconi' high school students was organized by our Chapter. A short seminar was held by the founding members of the Chapter to bring students closer to the world of Materials Science at an early stage of their studies.  This could be useful to involve new young members who want to measure themselves within the scientific community. Our Chapter would offer them the opportunity to contribute, with their ideas and skills, to the social and cultural growth of the Materials Research Society area, communicating the effect that developments of Materials Science have on life quality. During the event, held in October 2023, the students were introduced to the world of complexation reactions: starting from colourless solutions, they were able to create a coloured mosaic specifically tailored for them.
