Second joint European MRS chapters workshop

The Second joint European MRS chapters workshop will be held on September 9-10, 2026, in Genova (Italy), during the NANO2026 conference.

Organised by the Four European MRS Chapters (Genova/Italy, Paris/France, Cologne/Germany, Hasselt/Belgium), the workshop aims to highlight the interaction between different materials science.

Young scientists will meet together and interact during oral and poster presentations. Networking will be also promoted, fostering scientific collaborations, student exchanges, and career opportunities among all the represented communities.

Registration is open to all, not only MRS members.

The workshop will be hosted at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of the University of Genova, located in the historic city centre.

July 09th, 2026 - Notification of Acceptance
July 09th, 2026 - Early registration opens

MRS Workshop 2026 is supported by Associazione Science is Cool ETS (SCOOL), a non-profit Cultural Association promoting educational activities and scientific events aimed at engaging, at different levels, people with science. In order to facilitate a large participation at MRS Workshop 2026, a VAT-free registration fee will be offered for SCOOL membership (subscription fee: 2€).

Fees will cover: (MRS_WORKSHOP) full access to the 2-day Workshop's scientific sessions, program and all related materials, lunches, coffee breaks.
MRS_NANO participants will have access to all the activities of the NANO2026 program (7-11 September 2026).
