Alessandro Cingolani (AC) is a PhD student at the University of Genova (UniGe). His research activity is focused on the development of new green-batteries based on Si-rich eco graphite and demonstrating a new vision of silicon rich organic waste as a valuable resource to be transformed into products. AC holds a master’s in Chemical Sciences from UniGe (2021), where he gained experience in the synthesis and the structural characterizations of Gd/Sm doped-ceria nanofibers prepared by electrospinning. As a visiting student, AC spent one month in Elettra synchrotron (Trieste, Italy), where he developed experience in high temperature X-ray analysis. During his bachelor internship he was working on the investigation of thermoelectric properties of filled skutterudites
