Emanuele Dell'Aglio (ED) is a PhD student in Materials Science and Technology at the University of Genoa, where he is carrying out chemical-physical characterisation of archaeological wood containing metallic joining elements. ED took his master's degree in Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the Sapienza University of Rome and subsequently took part in the European 'STORM' project (preventive monitoring of historical sites) and the National 'Smart Cities' project (development of new products for the restoration of stone materials). As a conservation scientist, he collaborates with museums and restoration laboratories to design and optimise conservation interventions through scientific analysis.
